The second round of the 2005 South German Championship was held on the last weekend of October 2005. The SLR-Ingolstadt club prepared a very nice and technical track, and approximately 90 drivers found their way to Ingolstadt. Many good drivers such as Markus Fost, Ralf Helbing, Alexander Stocker, Bernhard Bopp and the current German Champion Thomas GĂĽnsel joined the race. Also at this race was the first time that you were allowed to use brushless motors and there was no motor limit for brushed engines.

In the Modified class, Alexander Stocker set the pace with his Peak-powered XRAY FK´05 followed by Bernhard Bopp and Markus Fleischmann with their Cyclone cars. After five rounds of qualification the results in the Modified class were as follows:

In the Finals of the Modified class, the battle was between Alexander Stocker and Dominik Fleischmann who seemed to be the only ones to follow Alexander Stocker. Alex won the first and 3rd Final and took the victory. It was only in the second Final when Alex decided to use new tires that Dominick was able to win. Third place was taken by Bernhard Bopp.
So the top 3 finishers in the Modified class were as follows:

In the Stock class (with 7 out of 10 cars being XRAY cars), it was almost a sure thing for the TQ driver to win the first and second Finals in style. After 3 heats, the second place went to Thomas GĂĽnsel and third place to Martin Neukirchner.

XRAY cars set the pace in Stock and Modified classes with the fastest laps, fastest qualifications, and fastest finals. Modified B-Main winner Robert Hart was piloting an XRAY FKâ™05 to take the win, and also the Stock B-main was won by MĂĽrder Karl Rainer (also with an XRAY FKâ™05).
